Mayors and government representatives of the 14 Argentine local governments that are part of the Cities of Knowledge program shared this Tuesday, April 26, an inspirational meeting with Santiago Bilinkis. On this occasion the host was Santander, in its offices in Buenos Aires.

  • San Miguel, Buenos Aires
  • Tafí Viejo, Tucumán

The welcome and details of the program were given by the executive director of RIL, Defina Irazusta, and the coordinator of the Program, Camila Alanis; while each one of the allies was represented to provide details on the contributions they will make throughout the program.

On this occasion, Santander sponsored the host to receive the cities and provide a space for dialogue, exchange and inspiration. It was attended by Enrique Cristofani, president of the company, who stressed the importance of the educational agenda in the municipalities in addition to the focus on the great opportunities that the industry promotes today.

Blas Briceño, director of the Chamber of the Argentine Software Industry (CESSI) provided details on the "I program in my City" program, an initiative that promotes strengthening educational and professional aspects to strengthen the first job.

And for his part, Luis Galeazzi, executive director of ARGENCON, provided details of the platform through which they promote innovative learning trajectories for a general public in their different stages of technical knowledge.

The cities, as well as the representatives of the alliance, had the opportunity to listen to Santiago Bilinkis, entrepreneur and co-founder of Officenet, the largest office supply company in Argentina and Brazil and other technology companies such as Restorando, Sirena and Trocafone, talk about the emerging agenda of opportunities and challenges facing today's cities in Argentina, but also in the world. He elaborated on what teleworking implies and how to accompany this transformation in the way of life from the localities, but above all the needs that education is going through.

This programme is an initiative that RIL designed to strengthen the main axes that enable cities to enhance their local ecosystems to capitalize on the development opportunities of the knowledge economy. There will be group and individual instances strengthening their strategies based mainly on four axes: connectivity, world of work, education and training of talent, and communication and positioning.

They will deepen their articulations with companies and organizations of the third sector, pioneers and inspiring in the subject, they will have support in opportunities to access financing and will design their local strategy to strengthen the ecosystem for the Knowledge Economy.
